Scholarship Information
Local organizations in a student's community (music boosters, women's clubs, Rotary Club, Catholic Charities, etc.) will often provide scholarship money to attend a music camp. Check with your school music director about the possibility of applying for a scholarship through a local organization.
Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Action Agency scholarships for residents of Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren counties.
The Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Action Agency is offering scholarships to eligible students interested in attending Summer Music Institute at Western Illinois University. Scholarships are made possible with Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funding and are available to those students residing in the counties of Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, and Warren. Applicants must complete (1) the WIU Summer Music Institute application form, (2) the CSBG WIU Youth Camp Scholarship application form, and (3) provide documentation that the household meets income eligibility guidelines to be considered.

Performing Arts Society (PAS) “Talent Based” Scholarships
The PAS is the premiere arts fund-raising organization at Western Illinois University and generously supports Summer Music Institute with scholarship money for students to attend music camps. The scholarships are based on talent and are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
