Homecoming Paint the Paws

 

Western Illinois University’s Homecoming is right around the corner.  This year’s theme is Cirque du Western the carnival never ends.  To kick off this years homecoming events the Student Alumni Leadership Council had one of their signature event take place that marks the beginning of the WIU Homecoming week.

 Paint the Paws is a time-honored tradition where the entire WIU Community comes out and repaints the Leathernecks Paws along University Drive and Western Avenue. This event helps to bring the community and school together to show our Western pride.

  This event is also a way to show alumni and friends the way to come back home to Western; instead of following the yellow brick road they follow the golden paws to campus.
