Senior day/night is a very important day for parents, fans, and especially the players. Intensity, emotions, and overwhelming are some of the adjectives that describe that day. Everyone is on edge. A senior last game on their home court is always a day to remember and especially if it’s a win like seniors Sarah Fetter, and Heather Smith. Their last home game was against the South Dakota State University in a five set game. The Fighting Leathernecks had won the game with a 3-2 final score.
Head coach April Hall said “For us it was all about the game plan and I think we did a really nice job of doing the game plan and playing for the seniors, it was their last match at Western Hall and it was really emotional for them and I think out team railed around that and played the best they possibly could for them”.
