Pacers Handle Bulls at Home 97-80

The Indiana Pacers handed the Chicago Bulls their third loss of the season with an impressive 97-80 win.  The Pacers, still undefeated, looked good against their division rival. David West led Indiana with 17 points and 13 rebounds.

The Pacers roster looked deep last evening with five players in double digits. All Star Paul George had 21 points and 6 rebounds. Big man Roy Hibbert chipped in 10 rebounds.

The Bulls played well in the first half behind play of superstar Derrick Rose, who had 17 points. Rose went 5 of 9 from the field in the first two quarters for 12 points. Luol Deng had 17 points while Carlos Boozer had 9 rebounds. The Bulls were outgunned in the second half and failed to find a rhythm. The poor shooting woes have become a theme for the Bulls, now 1-3. Derrick Rose has had 21 turnovers in the first four games of the season.

The season is still early for these Bulls, who expect to make a run at a title and dethrone the Miami Heat. Their “Bench Mob” of the past seems stagnant. The loss of sixth man Nate Robinson seems to be apparent when the buckets are not dropping. Expect the Bulls to get out of this funk after a month or two of regular play. The NBA has some deep teams this year and the Chicago Bulls are still one of them.

The Bulls next game is this Friday at 7pm against the winless Utah Jazz
