Job and Internship Fair October 1st
Graduates are always on the look for new job and internship opportunities. Western is offering a Career and Internship Fair on Tuesday, October 1st from 10a.m to 2p.m. The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom in the University Union. This will be a opportunity for students to get ahead of the job market and start making connections for an internship or job. Students will be required to be in professional attire. This event is a networking opportunity to make an impact on companies that students are interested in upon graduation.There are more than 50 companies in attendance to the fair from small market to large market companies. Some companies in attendance include John Deere, Target,American Red Cross, and Von Maur.
Students that are still looking for further schooling upon Western graduation can take a look at graduate programs. The students interested in a graduate program will have the option to ask questions about financial, and course offering for that specific school. Schools that will be in attendance include St. Ambrose University and University of Illinois Springfield Graduate Program. Other companies include the Office of Study Abroad if students are interested in traveling abroad while attending western to get course credit or internship opportunity. Students interested in Military development will have a chance to connect with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and the Marine Officer Selection Office.
