Lisa and Nathan Miczo presented at the Eastern Communication Association's 100th annual conference in Philadelphia, PA (April 22-26th, 2009).

Nathan's paper was "Computer-Mediated Communication and the Maintenance of Geographically Close Friendships". Nathan was first author, Theresa Mariani was 2nd, and Crystal Donahue was third author. The 2nd and 3rd authors are past WIU graduate and undergraduate students (who have since graduated) respectively.

Lisa presented "Are Birds of a Feather More Satisfied Together?: A Test of the Skill Similarity Model", which was solo-authored. This paper came out of the research I conducted for a Wayne N. Thompson Professorship, awarded through the Department of Communication.
