Spring 2001 Enrollment Increases
to 11,965
WIU 2001 spring semester enrollment is 11,965,
an increase of 193 students from the 2000 total of 11,772. Enrollment
increases were reported on-campus and through WIU offerings in
the Quad Cities.
Enrollment in WIU classes in the Quad Cities
is 1,363, up seven students from the previous year. Western offers
classes at the WIU Regional Center in Moline, at the Black Hawk
College campus and at the Quad Cities Graduate Study Center. Extension
enrollment for WIU locations off-campus outside the Quad Cities
is 1,166 students this spring compared to 1,109 in 2000.
Total on-campus enrollment this spring is
9,436, compared to 9,307 in 2000. For spring 2001, there are 312
on-campus new transfer students compared to 294 the previous year.
The number of new on-campus freshmen starting in the spring is
66, one more than the previous year.
