Weekend Events Kick Off Oct. 25
"Oh, the Places You Will Go..." is
the theme for Western's 2002 Family Weekend, Friday through
Sunday, Oct. 25-27.
Families can enjoy the comic antics of
The Second City National Touring Company at the 7:30 Saturday,
Oct. 26 headline performance in Western Hall; play in a family
golf scramble or participate in a 5K fun; make a music video;
get that family portrait taken; catch exciting collegiate athletic
events; and enjoy great meals.
Family Weekend event tickets are on sale
through the University Union Box Office, telephone 298-1254. Box
Office hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays,
and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. Master Card, Visa and
Discover are accepted.
Tickets for the Second City are $14 for
floor seats, $12 lower bleachers and $10 balcony for the public;
and $10, $8 and $6 for students.
To order tickets (reserved seating $14,
general admission $10) for the Fighting Leathernecks 1:05 p.m.
Saturday football game vs. Youngstown State at Hanson Field,
contact the Athletic Ticket Office, telephone 298-1190. Office
hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
The weekend of events kicks off Friday,
Oct. 25. Be sure to check out all of the scheduled activities
at the Wacky Western Information Station in the Union Concourse,
which will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to
9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.
