Western’s public
budget hearings will be held from 8
a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 19 and 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April
20 in the University Union Capitol
Rooms.
Presentations by vice presidents and staff reporting
to the president will outline how each area of the
University
has responded to its goals and objectives
in accordance with the institution’s strategic plan, Higher Values
in Higher Education. The presentations also will include goals and objectives
for the 2005-2006 year.
On Tuesday, April 19 Provost and Academic Vice President Joe Rallo will discuss his office budget from 8-9:30 a.m. and Vice President for Student Services W. Garry Johnson will
present budget information starting at approximately 9:30
a.m. A presentation by Institutional Research
and Planning Director Charles Gilbert for areas
reporting to the president will begin at 11 a.m.
On Wednesday, April 20 Vice President for Administrative Services
Jackie Thompson will discuss budget issues starting
at 8 a.m. and Vice President for Advancement and
Public Services Larry Mortier will present budget
information at approximately 9:30 a.m.
Western employees may be granted release time to attend the budget hearings.
The availability of release time will be evaluated by supervisors based on
maintaining essential staffing levels in campus operations, according to Vice
