SURS and HMO Changes Announced
The State of Illinois has selected four managed care plans to provide benefits to state employees, dependents and retirees starting July 1.
Health Alliance was not one of the providers selected. In addition,
changes to SURS affecting retirement annuities have been announced.

PAC Ceremonial Groundbreaking April 26
Western Illinois University's Performing Arts Center will be one step closer to reality when the ceremonial groundbreaking takes place Tuesday, April 26.

COEHS Names New Dean: Saddler
Sterling Saddler, professor and vice president of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), has been named dean of Western's College of Education and Human Services (COEHS), effective July 1.
VP for Administrative Services Interviews Ongoing
Interviews for the WIU vice president of administrative services (VPAS) candidates are continuing through May 4.

The Benefits Office will conduct
meetings covering upcoming changes to insurance options (see "Changes Announced" above) on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3-4.

Juvenile Justice and Special Education Research Forum
Parents, secondary education teachers, and all those in the human services field--as well as the general public--are invited to attend a Juvenile Justice and Special Education Research Forum at Western Illinois University.
