Employees Recognized for Service
Six Western Illinois University employees were recognized for community service and commitment to the University, and employees with 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service to WIU, were honored during the annual Service Recognition Reception, held April 26 in the University Union Lamoine Room.
Hawkinson Named Interim Provost
Ken Hawkinson, associate provost for budget, planning and personnel, has been named interim provost, effective July 1.
Bequest Announced at PAC Ceremonial Groundbreaking
The April 26 ceremonial groundbreaking for the Western Illinois University Performing Arts Center included the announcement of a seven-figure bequest from a retired WIU administrator to support the center's operation.
Admissions Director Interviews Ongoing
Interviews for three candidates for the WIU director of admissions position are ongoing through May 19.
Neumann: Interim Associate Provost
Kathleen Neumann, director of Western Illinois University's School of Computer Sciences, has been named interim associate provost, effective July 1.

retire with 34 years of service at Western.
