Dr. McFarland received his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Education, and Master of Education and the Doctorate degrees in Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. McFarland's counseling experience has been in school counseling. His interests are in developmental school counseling programs, solution-focused counseling in the schools, conflict resolution, men's issues, and gay, lesbian, bisexual student issues. He teaches the following courses: Assessments Techniques, Career and Lifestyle Development, Legal and Ethical Issues, Counseling Children and Adolescents, Practicum, Internship, Developmental School Counseling, Men's issues, and HIV/AIDS Awareness. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging, sailing, reading and working around the house.
