Dr. Hamann received his bachelor's degree from Wartburg College and his master's and doctorate from Northern Illinois University. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Member of AAMFT, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Prior to entering full time teaching at Western Illinois University in 1988, he worked in community mental health for 19 years. He enjoys teaching skills courses, marriage and family counseling courses, and providing supervision both to students and to community professionals. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, biking, and other outdoor activities.
