STUDENT DEGREE PLANS AVAILABLE ON STARS!

The Student Degree Plan that you receive each semester from your advisor is available on STARS. Don't remember what courses you are scheduled to take next semester? Just get on STARS and select "Student Degree " from the menu--your semester by semester plan is right there!

Not sure what courses satisfy the humanities, social science, human well being, etc. requirement? Just place the cursor next to the course you are unsure about and click on the "Course " button on the bottom of the screen. The screen will show you a list of approved courses to choose from.

GPA requirements:

All freshmen will be required to earn a 2.5 cumulative GPA by the end of their second semester.

Transfer students must earn the required 2.75 at the end of their first semester at WIU

Students not meeting these requirements and who are not within 12 s.h. of "B" work in meeting the GPA, will be required to change their major.

Special Permission Request forms: ALL requests for special permission are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Receiving permission for a class guarantees you a seat in that class. You do not have to be cleared to register to receive special permissions.

All unused special permissions will be removed May 1st or December 1st (depending on the semester), except for those students with a financial encumbrance.

Permission will not be granted for any C & I upper level course (300/400) unless the student has been "fully" accepted to TEP.
