TECHNOLOGY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENT
ATTENTION STUDENTS !!!!
ALL students going out to do field experience MUST purchase a Hanging Name Badge from the Certification Office in Horrabin Hall 91 for $1.00. This is needed before you go out into the school for all field experiences (Student Teaching, EIS 303-Block, and Observations).
E-MAIL Address Beginning spring semester the university is switching all faculty, staff and students to the ECOM e-mail system. All students need to make sure they activate and use their WIU e-mail. Early warning grade notices, financial aid information and other pertinent information for students will be sent via e-mail beginning spring semester. The CPEP Center also plans to utilize this new service in communicating important advising issues with the students.
To activate your WIU e-mail account, go to http://www.wiu.edu/guava/servlets/main. Follow instructions and use your ECOM username (lowercase) Check your e-mail at www.wiu.edu/WebMail
Call the University Computer Support Services (UCSS) Help Desk at 309 298-2704 or visit the UCSS office (Stipes Hall 126), if you have questions or need assistance. Students at the Quad Cities may visit the computer lab in room 142.
The University does not recommend the forwarding of WIU e-mail. Forwarding your mail removes the security that is in place with the WIU accounts. Much of the information sent to you by the various offices on campus may contain personal/confidential material.
