Spring 2009

Print-based Courses (NOT on-campus students)

November 3, 2008 – Advanced registration begins.
November 24, 2008 – Open registration begins.
January 20, 2009 – Spring semester begins.
February 2, 2009 – Last day to add course during open registration.
February 28, 2009 – Last day to delete a course.
May 13, 2009 – Last day to submit course requirements to graduate in May or to have grade recorded on transcript by end of spring semester.
May 15, 2009 – Last day to drop course with “W” grade.
July 31, 2009 – Last day to take exams in the Distance Education office.  If taking exams at the Quad Cities campus exams must be completed by 11:00 a.m.
August 1, 2009 – Incomplete changed to F if course requirements have not been submitted.

Summer 2009

Online Courses
April  1, 2009  – Advanced registration begins.
April 20, 2009 –  Open registration begins.
June 8, 2009  – Summer session begins.
June 9, 2009 – Last day to add course during open registration.
June 15, 2009 - Last day to add by permission or delete a course.
June 15, 2009 - Last day to drop course with a “W” grade.
July 29, 2009 - Last day for students to take exams in the Distance Learning office.  If taking exams at the Quad Cities campus exams must be completed by 11:00 a.m.
July 31, 2009 - Last day to submit course requirements to graduate in May or have grade recorded on transcript by end of summer session.

Fall 2009

Online Courses
April 1, 2009 – Advance Registration begins
April 20, 2009 – Open Registration begins
August 24, 2009 – Classes begin
August 28, 2009 – Last day to register students without special permission of instructor.
September 4, 2009 – Last day to register students. Last day to withdraw from one or more online courses without receiving a “W” on transcript.
November 1, 2009 – Last day to drop classes or make a total university withdrawal without academic penalty (tuition payable).
December 16, 2009 – Last day for students to take fall online course exam in the Distance Learning office.  If taking exams at the Quad Cities campus exams must be completed by 11:00 a.m.
December 18, 2009  – Instructors must have all requirements by this date (including exams).

Orientation Info

Some programs offer an Online Orientation. You are strongly encouraged to complete the online orientation shortly after you have been accepted into a program. The orientation programs are designed to familiarize you with your new program.
