Graduation Commencement Ceremony Information
Western Illinois University holds graduation ceremonies in May and December. You are invited to attend the graduation ceremony during the semester you plan to graduate. Students graduating at the end of the summer session may choose to participate in the May ceremony before their summer graduation date or to participate in the December ceremony following their summer graduation date.
All graduates and their families are invited to attend the BGS Graduation Open House held at the Macomb campus BGS Degree Program office located in Horrabin Hall, Room 6, on the Friday before the Graduation Commencement Ceremony. No advance reservations are required to attend this event; however, students are encouraged to contact the program office at least 10 days prior to the event if they wish to obtain a campus parking permit. The permit would be for Friday's event only. No parking permits are required for the Saturday commencement activities.
