Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts Foundation

William (Bill) P. McCamey Scholarship

Deadlines for Application:

Fall: November 30       
Spring:  April 30

Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship student must be

  • be a resident of the State of Illinois
  • have completed a WIU fire education course the past semester with a passing grade
  • be enrolled in a WIU fire education course the current semester
  • be employed (volunteer, paid on call, or full time) at a fire department that is a member of the Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts
  • be in good standing with the University

Terms

Award amount will be determined by annual donations from the Illinois Association of Fire Protections District foundation.  One award is expected to be given in the fall and another award the spring.

Return applications by November 30th Fall semester, and April 30th Spring semester to the School of Distance Learning, International Studies, and Outreach, The IAFPD William (Bill) P. McCamey Scholarship Committee, Horrabin Hall 6, Western Illinois University, 1 University Circle,  Macomb, IL  61455-1390.

Selection Process

The recipient will be selected by the School of Distance Learning, International Studies, and Outreach William (Bill) P. McCamey, IAFPD committee. Preference will be given for academic performance.

Additional Comments

Financial need is not a consideration.  This award is non-renewable.  A student may not receive the award more than once.
