Kathy Barclay, Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction - Western Illinois University
Dr. Kathy Barclay is a Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Western Illinois University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in early childhood and literacy. She was co-author of ISBE’s Reading First Professional Development modules and currently serves as Editor of the Illinois Reading Council Journal. She is a frequent presenter at national and state conferences and author of three books and over seventy-five professional journal articles. Her newest book, Choose and Use Nonfiction: Meeting the Common Core Standards for Informational Literature, K-2, will be published in February by Corwin Press.
