Conferences and Workshops
Conferences and workshops, serving diverse professional development needs, are offered by Non-Credit Programs on the WIU campus and in area cities.
Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) for teachers and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensure or certification for a variety of professions are offered in conjunction with many programs.

37th Annual History Conference
March 23-24, 2012
This year's keynote speaker is Daniel Walker Howe from the University of California Los Angele and Oxord University. Dr. Howe is a recipient of the Pultizer Prize in History and Rhodes Professor of American History Emeritus at Oxford University. The program will feature presenters from the Western Illinois University Department of History and Department of Political Science. Multiple concurrent sessions will be offered throughout the morning and the keynote address will be offered in the afternoon. Conference attendees who teach in Illinois public schools are eligible to receive Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs). To download a copy of the registration form, please click here.
