Adjunct Professor, Western Illinois University
Mr. Leezer is a 19-year veteran with the Illinois State Police and is an adjunct professor at Western Illinois University. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University. As a sergeant he currently serves as a state police field supervisor and has more than 20 years of police service. Sergeant Leezer has several years of experience as an Operator on a state police SWAT Team. He is certified in Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT). His experience includes providing active shooter response training to police officers. He has co-authored training for police officers, schools, and businesses to deal with active shooter incidents. His training for police officers is certified through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. He has presented to audiences of school administrators, faculty, staff and police officers as large as 600 throughout Illinois.
