  • Responsibilities:

    Develop web application and database components for CAIT instructional or enterprise projects, which includes developing reusable application modules, application architecture designs, normalization and developing entity relationship diagrams. Program application and database components for use in multiple projects with a variety of database software environments, including, but not limited to MySQL. Program in middle-ware software including, but not limited to Java, JSP, Java Servlets, and Apache open-source packages. Code web-based environments in HTML and connect back-end application components to their front-end web-based components. Communicate with clients, content experts and other production personnel as well as the Information Technology group in the development of web application and database projects. Work with entry-level application developers, and new hires to the application development team. Knowledge of Web Server packages, including but not limited to Apache Tomcat and Sun One. Utilize UNIX, Linux, and LDAP. Learn new technology and assist web developers and application developers on how best to implement new technology into current and future projects. Work with project managers on technology used to develop a project. Assist in the testing and deployment of web application projects.

  • Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and one year of experience in a related field. This position also requires one year of prior experience required in each of the following areas: Java, SQL, J2EE, and JavaScript. 

  • Starting Salary: $64,418 per year
