Marjorie Allison

Associate Professor
life on the margins: post-col lit, ethnic lit, & brit lit

Marjorie Allison earned her PhD at the University of Minnesota--concentrating on images of East Indian Men in literature written in English before and after the so-called 1857 Indian Mutiny (or the First War of Independence). Currently Allison teaches courses that focus on conflicts and power struggles which occur whenever cultural groups collide. She is also particularly interested in how history is repeatedly challenged within the literature of traditionally marginalized groups.
