Sonnets
April 22, 2009 • 12:00 noon • East Entrance of Malpass Library

Public Reading of Shakespeare's Sonnets

Whether you have a favorite sonnet, like Shakespeare, or like poetry, come out and celebrate Shakespeare's sonnets by reading one! or two!

Where: East Entrance of Malpass Library
When: April 22nd beginning at Noon and continuing until all 154 sonnets have been read.

Below is a list of all 154 sonnets and their first lines. Taken sonnets are struck through. If you would like to volunteer to read one or two, please email your preferences to cl-morrow@wiu.edu.

If you need to arrive later, estimate one minute per sonnet when making your selection (i.e. Sonnet 37 will not be read BEFORE 12:37 pm). If you are not present when your sonnet comes up, it will be given to a standby reader.

A reading script will be provided.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Friday, April 24th at the same times.
