23rd Annual President's Excellence in Diversity Awards

The purpose of the President’s Annual Excellence in Diversity Awards is to celebrate diversity efforts during the preceding year that have advanced our goals of Higher Values in Higher Education, increased diversity and created a campus climate that welcomes and supports all individuals. We wish to honor members of the university, Macomb and Quad Cities communities who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, service, and education in diversity. The leadership award will be given to individuals in leadership roles that develop initiatives that enhance and further diversity goals. The service award will be given to individuals who have participated in or initiated diversity related committee work, community involvement, and/or community outreach. The education award will be given to those who offer teaching, programming or activities designed to foster or enhance diversity.

All WIU students, employee’s (faculty and staff and administrators) and organizations/departments, along with members and organizations in the Macomb and Quad Cities communities are eligible.

Please send all nominations to Don Bowen in Sherman Hall 203, or de-bowen@wiu.edu  by Friday, April 12, 2013.

The awards reception will be held on Thursday, May 9th, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM in the University Union Heritage Room.
