ROY SLADE: Born Cardiff, 1933

Educated at the University of Wales and Cardiff College of Art. He is the President of Cranbrook Academy of Art and Director of the Museum at Cranbrook. In 1994 received Doctor of Arts degree from the Art Institute of Southern California. His other awards include the Polar Star of Sweden and the Welsh Society of Philadelphia Award. Since his first One-man show in the Howard Roberts Gallery in Cardiff in 1958, Roy SIade has exhibited from Latin America to Leeds. Work in collections includes the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the A.C.G.B.
