"Catch the Korean Wave." Dialogues on Global challenges and Personal Responsibility.

Dr. Siyoung Park.On Wednesday, December 6, 2006, Dr. Siyoung Park, Professor of Geography and Patti Jones, Assistant Director of University Advising and Academic Support Center will present "Catch the Korean Wave" as part of the Univeristy's Dialogues on Global challenges and Personal Responsibility. The presentation will be held from noon until 1:00 pm in the Sandburg Lounge of the University Union.

According to the Washington Post, the "Korean Wave" has hit the Pacific Rim in a very big way. What is the "wave"? What are the implications for its arrival in the U.S.? What do we REALLY know about Korean students and faculty here at WIU? There will be a brief presentation followed by Q and A.
