International Student Activities

New International Orientation Volunteer

Each semester the Center for International Studies needs volunteers to help with New International Student Orientation the week before the start of the semester.

The orientation helps new international students settle into the campus and community; volunteers are needed to help with these activities including check-in, shopping trips, restaurants trips, campus tours, American Culture Night, etc.

Being a New International Student Orientation Volunteer is a great chance to:

  • meet new people
  • learn about different places and cultures of the world
  • increase your understanding of the increasingly global world in which we live
  • share your experience at WIU
  • add to your resume
