International Admissions

When should I apply?

You should begin the admission process at least six months before you plan to attend WIU. Use the following dates to stay on track: 

To Apply for Fall (August)

  • February 1: Application Due
  • April 1: Application materials due
    • Transcripts, test scores, all other requested documents
  • July 5: Financial documents due

 

For Spring (January)

  • July 1: Submit application by this date
  • September 1: Application materials due
    • Transcripts, test scores, all other requested documents
  • November 30: Financial documents due

For Summer (June)

  • January 15: Submit application by this date
  • March 1: Application materials due
    • Transcripts, test scores, all other requested documents

Admission Requirements

Select your level of study:

New College Freshman: Students who have not taken college classes after completing high school apply for an undergraduate degree.

Transfer Students: Students who have taken college classes after high school but have not earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree apply for an undergraduate degree. Learn about earning undergraduate transfer credits.

Graduate Students: Students who have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree apply for a graduate or second bachelor's degree.

English Language Training (WESL): Students applying for the intensive English language program.
