Short-Term Programs

Global Education and Outreach has the expertise to create unique short-term programs. Programs are specifically designed to meet the requirements of the institution requesting the program and can be created for faculty, administrators or students. Student programs meet the academic, social, and cultural needs of the groups by integrating class work with cultural experiences. In addition, content-specific programs can also be developed. Often included in the programs are short trips to historic sites nearby such as Springfield, the state capitol of Illinois; St. Louis, Missouri; and Chicago, Illinois. Other activities during the short-term stay may include nearby destinations such as local farm visits, attending a university class, conversation meetings with university students, attending WIU events and activities, and participating in American holiday celebrations. Programs are offered any time during the year and for any length of study.
