Business and Cultural Trips


During the six weeks of the program, participants are exposed to many cultural and business visits.

Anticipated city visits during the 2009 program include : Springfield, IL, Hannibal, MO; Peoria, IL; Moline, IL; Davenport, IA; St. Louis, MO; and Chicago, IL.

Furthermore, the following companies and organizations have been visited in prior programs: John Deere, Caterpillar, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; and the World Trade Center Chicago.

Some of the planned activities for Global Commerce Experience 2009 include : Six Flags Mid-America Amusement Park, the St. Louis Gateway Arch, St. Louis, MO; Local 4th of July Celebration; Abraham Lincoln Presidential Home, tomb, museum, and New Salem, Springfield, IL; Team building sessions at WIU's Horn Field Campus.
