Estimated Program Cost (per person): $2,518.
For a limited number of qualified applicants who are US citizens or permanent residents, a $2,018 grant will be
available. The student portion of the cost for these individuals is $500. All others must pay full price.
The program is partially funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Education, Fund for the Improvement of
Secondary Education (FIPSE).
Included items: Round-trip transportation to Chihuahua (airfare to/from El Paso and bus between El Paso and
Chihuahua), accommodations in Chihuahua, in-country motor coach transportation, all entry fees to scheduled sites,
and all meals.
Not included in program cost: WIU tuition, WIU student health insurance (required), passport (required),
transportation to/from departing airport, and personal expenses. Students who wish to buy souvenirs should budget
more money than the figures above indicate.
For students who are notified that they meet the eligibility requirements, the non-refundable payment of $500 is due
by March 23, 2007. All payments are collected by Kim McDaniel, Study Abroad Advisor for Group Programs,
Center for International Studies, 202 Seal Hall (East). Payments will not be accepted from students until eligibility
requirements are verified.
