Participating in a study abroad program will allow students to gain valuable cross-cultural experience and language skills which will make them more valuable to employers, an invaluable benefit in today’s increasingly competitive job market. The benefits of a study abroad experience do not end at making oneself more employable, however. Students who study abroad enjoy great personal growth. They return to their home country with a better understanding of other people, cultures, and politics. Most importantly, they have a better understanding of knowing who they are.

The College of Business and Technology offers several options for students who wish to study abroad. Students can spend a semester abroad taking business and/or language courses. If a student doesn’t want to spend an entire semester abroad, there are several short-term programs available ranging from two to six weeks in duration. Students can also participate in a language immersion program should they wish to learn or improve their proficiency in a second language.
