Q: What are your application deadlines?
The deadline for receiving a completed application is June 1st. A completed application includes the application form itself, official copies of transcripts from all universities attended, and official copies of the GMAT score.
Q: Which school do I apply to?
Canadian citizens should apply to the Université de Moncton, Mexican citizens should apply to Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, and U.S. citizens should apply to Western Illinois University.
Q: What are your admission requirements?
To enter this program students must meet the admissions requirements enumerated in the Western Illinois University graduate catalog. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of the School of Graduate Studies for degree seeking students. In addition, prospective graduate students must submit scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test prior to admission. Admission to the MBA program requires an acceptable combination of an undergraduate grade point average and the total GMAT score so that 200 * GPA + GMAT Score is at least 1,000 and the total GMAT score is 450 or greater with a minimum verbal score of 19 and a minimum math score of 19.
Q: Do you have a minimum GPA requirement?
The School of Graduate Studies requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Q: Do I need work experience to apply?
While no work experience is required to enter this program, given the applied nature of the degree work experience is desirable.
Q: Can I apply if I have no experience with a foreign language?
Foreign language proficiency is not required for admission. The program will give you an opportunity to enhance the skill level that you possess in Spanish and/or French.
Q: Do I have to have an undergraduate degree in business to be accepted into the
Program?
Yes, without a strong background in business you will not be competitive in the program, nor will you be prepared for the advanced level of work you will be studying.
Q: How long will it be until you make a decision regarding my application?
We are using a rolling method for selecting students for this program. This admission methodology means that decisions are made as the applications are received. Once we have a completed application packet, a decision will be made within three weeks.
Q: Is there a minimum GPA I have to maintain while I am in the program?
Yes, as a graduate student, you are expected to maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on all of your graduate work. The School of Graduate Studies requires that a student have a 3.0 GPA on all of the coursework that is on the graduate degree plan, and that the there be no more than six hours of coursework graded below B. Further, courses completed which were graded lower than C can not be used to satisfy degree requirements.

Q: Which school do I pay tuition to?
Students will pay tuition and fees to their home university each semester they are enrolled in the program.
Q: Who pays for the travel involved with the program?
The student will be responsible for the cost of traveling between the three universities and their internship location. There are a limited number of $500 scholarships available on a competitive basis. Contact the College of Business and Technology at Western Illinois University for more information.
GMAT/TOEFL
Q: What is your minimum GMAT score requirement?
The minimum GMAT score is 450 total score. In addition, a minimum score of 19 is required on both the verbal and quantitative portions of the GMAT examination.
Q: Who has to take the TOEFL?
All students whose first language is not English will be required to take the TOEFL examination.
Q: What is the minimum score I need on the TOEFL?
The minimum TOEFL score required for admission is 550. Since all of the instruction will be conducted in English, it is imperative that a student have at least this level of proficiency in English.
Financial Assistance
Q: What financial assistance is available for this program?
There is a very limited amount of financial assistance available for this program. There are several $500 scholarships that will be given on a competitive basis. U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be eligible for certain federal financial aid packages. Contact the Financial Aids Office at Western Illinois University if you have questions.
Q: Who provides the housing in the different countries of the T-MBA?
do tstudents have to look for them when they get there?
We are looking for housing in either one of our residence halls or in some
apartments that the university owns.
We will provide whatever assistance we can, but the students
will not have to look for a place to live themselves.
Q: Are students with the same language going to live together?
If they prefer the apartments, they would likely be together.
If they are willing to live in a residence hall,
then we can arrange it so that they have a non-spanish speaking roommate.
Q: When and how students have to pay for the housing?
They would need to pay for the housing when they come to Macomb,
Moncton or Mexico.
Q: Is it possible that T-MBA students from Moncton or Macomb could
provide housing for Mexican students and when they come to Querétaro,
they would also receive housing?
Unfortunately this is not possible since the students from USA and Canada don't live in Macomb
or Moncton, in fact, they will need to pay for housing in their own countries.
Q: What type of document will be the "report
for the internship", would it be like a thesis or only a group report?
We would not require our students to complete a thesis type report.
Instead, we would ask them to complete weekly reports and conclude
the experience with a summary paper.
Q: What is the minimum score they have to obtain in the subjects?
The students would be expected to maintain a B (8.0 in Mexico)
average in all of their courses to remain in and
be able to graduate from the program.
Q: Do students have to pay for the application to the university US$30?
No, they do not have to pay.
Q: Since students are going to stay only one term in each university,
how do they have to fill out the part of financial resources?

Q: What are the dates of initialization and termination of the terms,
in order to buy flight tickets ?
