Featured Artist: Hiroshi Matsuzaki
Hiroshi Matsuzaki studied the horn under Kaoru Chiba at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. In 1971 he joined the New Japan Philharmonic as the principal horn player, and then in 1976 he moved to Bavarian State Opera Orchestra.
He also took part in various music festivals around Europe, playing with the Munchener Bach‐ Orchester conducted by Karl Richter, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra conducted by Karl Munchinger. After returning to Japan in 1980, he assumed the post as a principal horn player for the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
He teaches at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Tokyo College of Music. He is also a guest professor at the Senzoku Gakuen College.
