Have you ever thought about the possibility of collecting data without using your desktop computer and miles and miles of cables and cords?  Using a Palm device, it is now a possibility to be wireless to collect your data.

The ImagiProbe™ Wireless System provides a powerful software application and a sensor interface, which when combined with sensors and a handheld computer, creates a portable laboratory that enables students to collect and visually analyze data.  There are two components to the ImagiProbe software. The Palm OS application enables you to set up, collect, and view data from a variety of sensors. The Win/Mac conduits transfer this data to your desktop during HotSync.  The ImagiProbe Wireless System includes the ImagiProbe application for Palm OS, conduit software for Mac OS and Windows, and the PASPORT® AirLink Sensor Interface.

The PASPORT® AirLink Sensor Interface connects to a Bluetooth-enabled Palm handheld and communicates data from the sensors to the ImagiProbe software. It uses industry standard Bluetooth wireless technology to communicate data up to 30 feet.  It also supports PASCO® PASPORT® line of digital sensors for state-of-the-art measurement.  Samples data at rates from 1/hour to 1000/second (varies by sensor).  Uses a rechargeable battery for maximum flexibility or power the unit with an external power supply.  Fits easily in the palm of your hand. Supports many existing analog sensors through the optional PASCO® Analog Sensor Adapter.

ImagiProbe requires Palm OS 5.0 or higher. The PASPORT® AirLink Sensor Interface is compatible with all Bluetooth-equipped Palm Powered computers.

EasySense Flash Logger

Ever frustrated because you cannot take your computers outside to reach your research?  Data Harvest has made it easier for you to conduct educational research using technology in the palm of your hand.  By using a Pocket PC and purchasing the EasySense Flash Logger, you become instantly connected and are able to collect and analyze research in the field.

 The EasySense Flash card logger slips solidly into the Compact Flash expansion slot of your Pocket PC to form a completely integrated probe solution.  The EasySense Flash system offers the same functionality and ease-of-use as a full PC-based system. Graphs, charts and tables appear crystal clear and setting up experiments and analyzing data using Pocket PC's touch screen technology. The EasySense Flash Logger accepts the full Range of SmartQ Sensors and automatically identifies and calibrates them! 

EasySense Flash simultaneously records and displays readings from three SmartQ sensors. The EasySense Flash Logger stores data in the main memory of the Pocket PC-many data sets can be stored for later analysis, printing or uploading to a PC. The EasySense Flash Logger is fully compatible with both Pocket PC & Hand Held PC. All that is required is both a Compact Flash socket (or a PC Card socket) and a low cost CF adaptor card. 

The EasySense Flash Logger draws its power from the Pocket PC. Due to the amazingly low power requirements of both the Pocket PC and the Flash Logger, a single re-charge of the Pocket PC's built-in battery will allow the system to run for many hours (approx. 6-8 hours).  Using the ActiveSync Application supplied with the Pocket PC, captured data files can be quickly and easily transferred to a PC for further examination, either in the PC version of Sensing Science Laboratory or other applications, such as Excel.
