Expansion Slot

Expansion slots allow a user to add software, memory and peripherals to a PDA. Different types of expansion cards or peripherals that can be used with expansion slots include but are not limited to probes, cameras, voice recorders, bar code scanners, multimedia cards, SD (Secure Digital) cards, SDIO (Secure Digital Input/Output) cards and WiFi cards.

  • WiFi Card - connects you to the Internet anywhere Wi-Fi access is available such as homes, offices, hotels, cafes and airports equipped with wireless access points. This enables you to send and receive email, browse the web, and wirelessly synchronize your PDA with your computer

  • Probes - are usually attached to your PDA through the expansion slot. There are a variety of probes available that can measure temperature, pH levels, magnetic fields, etc.
