APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Fall 2009 Deadline: September 18
MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA
Membership shall be based on the criteria established in accordance with the Aim of the Eta Epsilon Chapter.
The aim is to recognize and encourage high professional, intellectual, academic, and personal achievements in the field of international education. This chapter will serve to encourage international programming and promote the exchange of ideas and information among an interdisciplinary network of faculty, staff, students, community members, and alumni involved in international endeavors. The Eta Epsilon Membership Committee will review applications immediately after the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The Committee will then nominate acceptable applicants to the Executive Board for approval.
ANNUAL DUES
First-year membership for all members: $65 (includes certificate, PBD medallion, and annual dues)
Renewal: $30.00
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MEMBERSHIP, ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA MUST BE MET:
Domestic students (eligible for membership beginning Fall 2010):
1. Completion of at least one semester at WIU
2. Demonstration of academic excellence (Minimum Cumulative GPA at WIU):
* Undergraduate students -- 3.2
* Graduate students -- 3.5
3. Either:
a. Completion of international study, research, or internship abroad or comparable international experience where academic relevance can be demonstrated; or
b. Demonstration of significant involvement in activities that promote the Aim of the Eta Epsilon chapter
4. Completion of membership application packet.
5. Supporting documentation:
• Official WIU Transcript
• Reflective summary
• Any additional supportive information desired
International students (eligible for membership beginning Fall 2010):
1. Completion of at least one semester at WIU

• Reflective summary
• Any additional supportive information desired
Alumni/Community members:
1. Demonstration of significant involvement in activities that promote the Aim of the Epsilon chapter
2. Completion of membership application packet.
3. Supporting documentation:
• Reflective summary
• Any additional supportive information desired
