Just click on the appropriate button in each section and when you reach the bottom of the page, click on the calculate button. This will give you an estimate of the cost for each semester.
These amounts are subject to change without notice by action of the Board of Trustees.
If you plan to bring your spouse or child(ren) with you, add approximately $5,200 per year for the living costs of a spouse and $2,100 per year per child.
Some students survive with less money than the recommended amount, while some need much more. What you spend depends upon your lifestyle and habits. Students choosing to live off-campus will need an additional amount of about $600 for settling-in expenses. Settling-in expenses include housing damage deposit and utility deposits, household/room furnishings not already provided, etc.
Billing – Tuition, fees, health insurance, and residence hall/student apartment charges will be billed to you approximately 10 to 15 days after the beginning of each semester. You have the option of paying all charges on the first “due” date or paying monthly by the payment deadline. Any billed amount unpaid by the specified payment date will be assessed a finance charge of one percent per month.
Banking in Macomb – Macomb has many banks. During the New International Student Orientation period, several trips to the banks will be provided. Depending on the type of bank account you would like to open, free bank accounts may be available.
NOTE: Using a bank card (ATM) from your home country may be expensive since a fee will be charged from both your home bank and the local bank. It is suggested you open a new account in Macomb. Before you leave your country, become familiar with your government’s requirements for currency exchange. Plan ahead so money will be available when you need it. Bring money in US currency only.
