Brazil Scientific Mobility Program (BSMP) at Western Illinois University
The Brazilian government's Brazil Scientific Mobility Program provides scholarships to undergraduate Brazilian students for one year of study in the United States. Scholarships are given primarily to students studying in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Students will complete one semester of ESL (English as a Second Language), two semesters of academic coursework and a summer internship and afterward will return to Brazil to complete their degrees.
This program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and is part of the Brazilian government's larger initiative to grant 100,000 scholarships for the best students from Brazil to study abroad at the world's best universities.
