Group Travel Grants

The Group Program Travel Grants were designed to assist degree-seeking students at Western Illinois University participating in a WIU group study abroad program.  Download grant application here .

Terms: Individuals applying to multiple programs must submit a grant application for each program's grant.  Applicants may receive only one grant per year.  The grant application deadline is the same as the program application; please refer to the program website for this date.  Late applications will not be considered.  Award amounts vary and range in increments of $250; the committee may split available funding. 

Grant funding varies depending on the advertised program cost (refer to the specific program you are interested in for this information).

Grants are non-renewable.  The grant will be forfeited if the recipient(s) withdraws from the program for which the grant was awarded.  Should the program be cancelled by WIU, the recipient(s) may use at least part of their funding towards another program.  If the new program is less expensive, the grant amount will be adjusted accordingly.  Grants cannot be used for program deposits and will be applied directly to the total program cost of the recipient.

All decisions regarding awards are those of the Scholarship Committee and are final.
