ITLC Online is the product of the Interactive Technology Literacy Curriculum Online Project (PR#H327A030048), funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services, Office of Special Education Programs, Technology and Media Services for Individuals with Disabilities, Steppingstones of Technology Innovation for Students with Disabilities.

Opinions expressed within this site are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the position of the U.S. Department of Education, and no official endorsement of these materials should be inferred. Reference to commercial products, trade names, or manufacturers do not constitute endorsement by the U.S. Department of Education.

Privacy Statement on Collection of Information and Usage

We ask for and require certain personal and identification information in order to operate ITLC Online as a government sponsored research project. At no time, and under no circumstances will the ITLC Online distribute, disseminate, sell, or disclose any personal or identification information given to us by our participants for the purposes of participating in the online workshops and obtaining supporting research data.

Any personal data that is acquired or stored by ITLC Online is for research purposes only. ITLC Online will not store, distribute, disseminate, sell, or disclose the content of any personal user information gathered in forms, email messages, written communications, or phone conversations we receive while participants are in the process of taking part in our project.

The staff members of ITLC Online, The Center for Best Practices in Early Childhood Education, and affiliates collect and use information throughout our website only as disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

This statement applies solely to information collected on this website.

For each visitor/registered participant to our website, our web server automatically recognizes information regarding browser type, operating system, IP address, and domain name used by the visitor. This information is used to determine areas of use, to assist in making improvements to the web site, and to assess difficulties.

Except for what the visitor voluntarily submits to the university and through registration for participation in ITLC Online, personally identifiable information (such as name, e-mail address, password, etc.) is not collected. ITLC Online has no way of verifying individual users to provide a choice as to whether or not general information is collected.

The information we collect is:

  • used only to obtain research data on general site use
  • communicate with our users
  • continue to provide quality services to registered participants
  • never shared with other organizations for commercial purposes

This site does not collect cookies. In order to use this website, new members are required to complete our registration form, and log in.

During registration a user must give certain contact information, but we never sell or give away this information. It is only gathered to contact the user about services on our site for which s/he has expressed interest and gather data needed to upgrade our services. Data is given only in grouped format. No personal identifiers are ever shared in reports.
