Award-Winning Student Workers @ PSL

This year marks the excellence of our Physical Sciences Library (PSL) student workers and library service. It has been an honor to nominate PSL students for various awards and I am pleased to highlight three of our student workers who won awards this year for their outstanding work, professionalism, leadership, and academic excellence. --Kathleen Clauson, PSL Supervisor

Amanda Caswell, Senior Biology major, was awarded the William H. and Eva Little Graham Libraries Student Assistant Scholarship for 2004. Amanda was selected from 18 nominations for the scholarship. Amanda received a $500 tuition grant. Amanda has worked at the Physical Sciences library for four years.

Susan Chon, Senior Marketing major, was awarded the WIU 2005 Student Employee of the Year Award. Susan was selected from 24 students nominated campus-wide. As Student Employee of the Year Susan received a prize of $750. Susan has worked at the Physical Sciences library for two and a half years.

Courtney Clay, Senior Fashion Merchandising major, received the Students of Color 2005 Academic Excellence Award. Courtney was honored at the Students of Color banquet as an outstanding minority graduating senior student for excellence in academics, service, and leadership. Courtney received a plaque and certificate. Courtney has worked at the Physical Sciences Library for two and a half years.
