Persistent Links (EBSCO)
How To create persistent links in any EBSCO database
By using the proper syntax, you can create links to EBSCO citations or HTML Full Text. If a PDF image is available, links to the image will be available on the citation.
- Connect to an EBSCO database through the library website (e.g., Academic Search Elite)
- Find an article or citation
- Click on the article title to retrieve the complete record
- Scroll down to find the Persistent Link to the article
- Copy the URL
- Use the Link Converter to make the Persistent Link accessible to all WIU users (or copy this URL):
- https://ezproxy.wiu.edu/login?url=
- Example:
- https://ezproxy.wiu.edu/login?url=http://search.epnet.com/login.aspx?direct=true&AuthType=cookie,ip,url,uid&
db=afh&an=J0E414235086304
- https://ezproxy.wiu.edu/login?url=http://search.epnet.com/login.aspx?direct=true&AuthType=cookie,ip,url,uid&
- Test! Copy/paste the new link into your browser address bar to make sure it works (remove any spaces in the URL).
