How to create persistent links to individual articles in JSTOR

  1. Connect to JSTOR through the library website
  2. Find an article citation
  3. Below the title of the article, locate the Stable URL.
  4. Copy this URL
  5. Use the Link Converter to make the Stable URL accessible to all WIU users (or attach the following prefix):
    • https://ezproxy.wiu.edu/login?url=
    • Example:
      • https://ezproxy.wiu.edu/login?url=http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0002-8762%28199602%29101%3A1%3C13%
        3ATGCOBM%3E2.0.CO%3B2-O
  6. Test! Copy/paste the new link into your browser address bar to make sure it works (remove any spaces in the URL).
