1997 1997 Youth Fatal Crash and Alcohol Facts. Data presented focuses
on fatal crashes involving drivers, ages 15-20, from 1982 to 1997.

Gaze Nystagmus: The Science and the Law. This resource guide for
judges, prosecutor, and law enforcement helps to dispel the myths
surrounding use of the horizontal gaze nystagmus roadside sobriety test to

Drug Abuse. This data indicates that 23% of survey respondents aged 16
years and over reported driving within two hours of alcohol consumption.
Studies of BAC levels reveal that drivers ages 16-20 are three times as
likely as drivers over age 21 to have at least five drinks prior to
driving, and females over age 26 had slightly higher BAC levels than their

The Secretary of State Office provides this book containing facts, stats and information on how Illinois plans to combat drunk driving. 2003
Illinois Crash Facts and Statistics. This statistical
presentation of Illinois crash data includes a table with the numbers of
drivers killed by age and BAC, as well as a pie chart depicting fatal
alcohol-related crashes by time of day and day of week. 2001 Illinois
Rules of the Road. Necessary for obtaining a driver's license, this
manual offers licensing laws and traffic safety information, including a
chapter on DUI.2003 Evaluation of the Traffic Law Enforcement Program (TLEP) and The Local Alcohol Program (LAP) Projects in Illinois. Explains the programs that Illinois is promoting and also providing information on to use these programs. Also has detailed stats of how the programs have been working in past years. and Drugged Driving Resource Center. This website offers the penalties
and consequences of drunk driving, information on how to report drunk
