- Individual viewing carrels for various media types
- 16 MM viewing room
- Typewriters
- One Media Conference Room (capacity 35 people)
- Audio tape copying 50 cents each (cannot be copyrighted)
- Library media and equipment are available for your use at no charge for standard loan periods. These privileges are available to all University students and employees.
- Media and equipment must be booked at least (2) working days in advance. Otherwise availability can not be assured.
- Over 3,000 titles of videotapes, DVDs, audiotapes and films.
- A capable and friendly staff is available to assist you. Call if you need us!
Available Equipment
(for University staff and students)- 16MM PROJECTOR
- A device to project 16 mm film. Commonly called motion picture projector.
- CASSETTE RECORDER
- A device that can record and play audio. Uses cassette tapes. Mono & stereo compatible.
- DIGITAL CAMERA
- A camera that stores pictures digitally rather than recording them on film. Once a picture is taken, it can be downloaded to a computer and then printed or emailed.
- IC DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER
- Save and edit the sound files you record on the RR-US360 with the included software. The USB cable connects your IC Recorder to a compatible PC for easy file transfers.
- LCD PROJECTOR
- A device which projects an image from computer to screen. It can also be used to show video/DVDs. (Faculty/Civil Service use only.)
- MICROCASSETTE RECORDER
- A hand-held device for recording and listening to audio.
- MONITOR/DVD
- 13" television monitor with built-in DVD for individual or small group viewing.
- MONITOR/VCR
- 13" television monitor with built in VCR for individual or small group viewing.
- OPAQUE PROJECTOR
- Uses the principle of light reflection to create an image of any non transparent object, such as printed/typedpages, coins, photographs drawings, maps, diagrams, or flat objects in black and white or color, in single sheets or book form.
- OVERHEAD PROJECTOR
- A device which produces an image on a screen by transmitting light through a transparent acetate or other medium which lies on the face or the stage of the projector. The lens and mirror arrangement in an elevated housing makes possible a bright projected image in a semi-darkened or lighted room. This type of projector allows a lecturer to sit or stand in front of an audience, to point out items on the transparency, or to write on the transparency as the audience watches.
- PHONOGRAPH MONO & STEREO
- A device designed to reproduce the sound recorded on a phonograph disc. May be either monaural or stereophonic sound.
- PUBLIC ADDRESS
- A portable sound system used for classroom or small groups where sound amplification is needed. AC powered.
- SCREEN
- A device which you use to project materials on to. Used to see projected materials.
- SLIDE PROJECTOR
- A device containing a light source and lens system which focuses an image from a slide or transparency mounted in cardboard, glass or plastic frame onto a viewing screen.
- SOUND FILMSTRIP PROJECTOR
- A filmstrip projector with a built in cassette player.
