Program Overview
The School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree for pre-licensure nursing students as well as those who are licensed to practice nursing (RN).
The professional nurse is a health care provider who is skilled in the care and nurturing of individuals, families and groups of people. Students in the pre-licensure program receive over 750 hours of clinical practice with faculty supervision. Clinical experiences take place in a variety of health care organizations including community health, acute care hospitals, and home health agencies. Following graduation the pre-licensure graduate will take the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a registered nurse.
Registered Nurse students have clinical projects in Community health as well as nursing management. All graduates are prepared for graduate education in nursing.
Faculty
Faculty members are dedicated educators, skilled in fostering active student participation. The faculty offer a broad range of competencies, thus providing excellent scope for students with different inclinations and talents.
