MAPPA 2010 Conference Scholarships
There are a limited number of scholarships available for the MAPPA 2010 conference being sponsored by our MAPPA Business Partners. There are two types of scholarships, including “Attendance Only”, which covers the $275 attendance fee for a MAPPA member school, and a “Full Attendance” scholarship at a $600 total maximum value. The Full Attendance scholarship may be used to cover the MAPPA member attendance fee and the cost for the basic hotel suite for up to three nights. The Full Attendance scholarship may also be used to pay for the preparatory course and exam for the EFP (Educational Facility Professional) as long as you are also planning to attend the full conference.
Provisions
Typically, only one scholarship will be awarded per single institution.
The institution requesting a scholarship must be a MAPPA member.
Scholarships have no cash value to the recipient and no refunds will be made to the recipient for differences between actual cost and the total maximum value of the scholarship.
This is not affiliated with other APPA or MAPPA Educational Scholarships that may also be applied for.
To Apply for a Scholarship
To apply for a MAPPA 2010 scholarship, please send a letter to the address listed below requesting one of the scholarship options. Please explain reasons that a scholarship is desired such as travel restrictions, or to enable another person at your institution to attend who otherwise would not be able to attend, etc. Include title and brief job responsibilities of the intended scholarship recipient.
If requesting a Full Attendance scholarship ($600), please indicate in your letter whether you would, or you would likely not be able to attend MAPPA 2010 if you were to receive an “Attendance Only” scholarship ($275 value).
Please indicate in the letter that you do intend to attend the MAPPA 2010 conference should you receive a scholarship.
