Executive Board
The Exectuive Board members are elected by the club. Each E-Board member
has specific duties and obligations to do. Below is the current E-Board with their
elected positions.

**Position(s) open for candidates at end of semester



President

The job of the President is to manage and delegate tasks through the Executive Board and the
rest of the club to get work done.  The President is also in charge of all the club legalities, such
as registering the club as an official student organization with the OSA and keeping it up to date.
In addition, the President is the main contact for the club on campus. This person should have
leadership qualities, be hard working, have very good communication skills, and have a strong
passion and vision for the WIU Marketing Club.  

**Vice President**

The Vice President is responsible for designing the Bulletin Board that is displayed at
Stipes Hall in the Fall Semester, updating the Bulletin Board throughout the semester/year,
and helping with Promotions for the club when needed. The Vice president should also have
graphic design skills with software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

 

**Secretary**
The Secretary is in charge of collecting the members’ applications. They are

also responsible for sending out reminders for meetings. The Secretary is in

charge of recording meeting minutes, answering e-mails from club members,

and assisting other exec board members in any way possible.


Treasurer

The Treasurer’s duty is to stay on track with how the club is financially. In doing this the

Treasurer makes monthly visits to Mid-America National Bank to make deposits, collects

monthly bank summary reports and keeps track of them (Found  in Marketing club mailbox

in Marketing and Finance Department). The Treasurer collects dues and fees from field

trips and keeps track of who has paid (along with Secretary).


Promotions

The Promotions person is in charge of making/designing fliers for Club meetings and
creating Promotion Committee’s for club events which will include member involvement. They
will also need to organize and create various ways or promoting Marketing Clubs events. The
Promotions board member will also need to contribute in the organization by thinking of innovative
ways to raise awareness of Marketing Club.


**Fundraiser
**

The person in charge of Fundraising should be able to generate ideas for the club to raise
money and be involved in the campus/community. Fundraising is also the person who contacts
sponsors for events. He/she also needs to get approval for the events/sites that the club wishes to
have. This person is in charge of getting club members involved with the fundraisers. Due to these
responsibilities this person should be self-motivated and enthusiastic.


Programming

It is the job of the Programming person to coordinate field trips to companies for the club.
Also they should be able to bring guest speakers to Western Illinois University. They will be
responsible for talking with travel agents about prices for trips. They should also keep in contact
with companies from past field trips and other potential places to go for future trips.


CBT Representative

The CBT rep is responsible for attending the SOC meetings (about 3 per semester). The
purpose of these meetings is for other clubs within the CBT to announce what their club is doing
and any upcoming events. A major role of the CBT is to put the Marketing Clubs’ name and activities
out on campus to get student/faculty awareness.

 

Community Relations:
The duties of the Community Relations position is to work with businesses in the community
for potential sponsorship, volunteer work, or any other collaborative efforts with the WIU
Marketing Club. This person is the face for the WIU Marketing Club not only in Macomb,
but other Central Illinois communities.


Web Master

The duties of the webmaster are to update and maintain the WIU website with any updates
or important information. He/she will also post pictures and videos of WIU Marketing Club
events and activities to the website. These duties may also extend to Social Media
channels as well.
